To live your life purposefully, you must do what you love without compromising. If you don’t know what you love it is because your mind is not at peace. It is looking, analyzing, worrying, seeking validation, judging.
First, you need to get a glimpse of what it is like to be without the thoughts that take your attention from peace. You can do it by practicing relaxing beyond the point of relaxation that is known to you.
Surrender to relaxation more and more and witness the busy mind disappear into the background. Do this every day, as much as you can during the day. This is what carrying about yourself is all about – allowing yourself to relax. This is love. This is meditation.
This relaxed state of being is eternal and can become permanent in your life if you choose to. Now that you are relaxed you might still seek purpose, seek to do what you love. At this point, observe your life. Take note of the things that you are drawn to without any effort with the purpose of not pleasing anyone but yourself.
If you are genuinely at peace, you will find that your life is insignificant if you choose not to engage in some way with others. If the only purpose of your life is to be born and die disconnected from the world, then what is the point of coming here?
The good news is that you don’t have to figure out anything forcefully. You already have an inner will, that drives you to your purpose every day. The more you’re at peace with yourself and the world, the more connected you become with what you love.
Try to see your life from the perspective of a participant and not a critic. A participant is always willing to participate in whatever is going on and is always ready to move on. Critic’s attention will become focused on judging, not letting go from specific ideas and experiences, which will make him stuck, unable to expand and move on.
The only way to be a participant is to allow yourself to get hurt. Understand when you get hurt, you do not become less of yourself. Because you no longer judge yourself. Because there is no point in doing anything that you don’t love, remember?!
See life as it is, expanding yourself, acquiring wisdom, not opinions.
Make it your priority to live your life a little bit bigger every day, then it already is. Not by forcing, by envisioning.
Always peek at a slightly bigger picture that is available to you to see. Peek with curiosity, not impatience.
Surrender to the unknown by letting go from predicting and insisting on what you think your future will be. When you anticipate you enslave yourself to thoughts. What is not known is free to be anything. Become the unknown.
Choose to be at peace at every moment by anticipating great life and not by tolerating what you think about life.
