When there is nothing left. When you’ve reached a point of no return. When you feel that you exhausted yourself, drained yourself. When old thoughts and reason do not interest you anymore. When you are tired of your own suffering or boredom. It is time to expand and go beyond all that is familiar. This is when we can allow our old personality to “die” and reborn into a lighter version of ourselves where everything is much clearer, calmer, and freer.
Most people struggle to take that leap when they reach that point. Instead of seizing the opportunity to evolve, they collapse back into old patterns of trying to understand what is happening, self analyzing and interpreting current circumstances with old thoughts.
Understand that everything that is “new” cannot be defined by something that is “old.” The minute you try to interpret your circumstance, you give old meaning to it. The potential of something new entering your life immediately disappears from your reach and is longer available to you.
For example, when you reach a dead end, instead of defining your condition, try to relax with the notion that something new is about to enter your life and it does not require your interpretations. Relax and witness how life is continuing without your definitions, thoughts, beliefs, and descriptions about your circumstance.
But usually, people insist on describing their stuckness to themselves. Sometimes even when they can forget about their stuckness and feel better, they immediately notice this and remind themselves that they are stuck. By doing this, we are blocking the new potential of new circumstance to enter our life. By sticking to the old paradigm of thoughts and beliefs, we deny ourselves from seeing opportunities and breaking free from our own limitations, thought patterns, and beliefs.
This seems like an obvious thing, but once you get used to being a skeptic about good things happening to you, this is the pattern you fall into every time.
Next time when you will feel that you’ve reached your limit, that you are bored, that you’re empty, remind yourself that this is a stepping point in your life into something new. The only way something new can enter your life is by allowing yourself not to describe where you’re at using old negative thoughts and beliefs.
So unless your thoughts, beliefs, and circumstances are inspiring, optimistic, positive, loving, trusting you are welcome to describe what is about to come, but otherwise just allow yourself not to exude any effort or understanding towards your current experience. Allow yourself to rest from all the familiar thoughts that are flying by, choosing not to buy into them no matter how logical they seem to you.
See what happens when you deliberately choose to notice the trap you set up for yourself each time you choose to interpret your circumstance using non-beneficial thoughts. So instead of falling into your old habits simply allow yourself to relax.
