The ability to allow yourself to relax the mind and the body is given to all. All of us can focus on breathing at any given time and experience relief, even if it is very subtle. However, sometimes, we forget about this ability and allow ourselves to fall deeper into worry, fear, and emotional suffering.
There is no direct connection between your suffering and the amount of work required from you to get yourself out of suffering.
We tend to think that the bigger the suffering, the more significant effort required from us to overcome suffering. This is not true because if you choose to focus on breathing instead of focusing on some out of reach outcome, you will immediately feel relief and sink a bit deeper into relaxation.
All people equally share the ability to relax. This is not something that is deprived of you and only given to the selected ones.
Everybody have the ability to divert their attention to breathing at will.
Don’t you want your life to feel effortless flowing, free, and peaceful like nature? If you do, then know that you, as well as everything else in nature, have already everything you need to be in flow and peace.
Your ability to consciously focus your attention on relaxing, just a little bit, is all that is needed. If you feel that you cannot allow yourself to relax, notice that you’re already allowing yourself to breathe, notice the body breathing without effort. You breathe life into your body every time you take a breath. This breath is allowing the body to function. When your body is allowed to function, different healing processes are taking place, without your knowing. Your cells are regenerating, tissues are being repaired and healed. The body is healing itself without you even asking. You are already loved by your body. All it asks from you in return is a chance to do its job by allowing yourself to rest.
Like the body, the universe or God, is also trying to bring you what you want. The same way as the body needs its rest to heal, the universe also needs rest or a break from your fears, worries, and doubts. God can’t give you what you want him to give you while you feel that you are unworthy.
The very fact that you are here makes you worthy. Everything else is mind games.
To feel better just follow what is most natural and flowing for you right now. If you can’t find such a thing, then simply breathe. Divert your attention to breathing, try to feel the subtle relief that comes for no reason. This is God’s love or the universe’s love that lives inside of you. This is your natural state of existence. You don’t need to bring love to yourself, love is already there, peace is already there. The God part of you is there to relief you from your struggles one breath at a time.
The things you want can come to you without struggle or worry. When you choose to relax, you chose to be loved by that part of you that is connected to God or the universe. At that moment, everything in your existence is becoming peaceful, balanced, loved and effortless. The energy that you feel is creating a new reality around you.
Familiarize yourself with your ability to know your connection to that greater power by choosing to rest. Know how it feels. Get to know what it is like to effortlessly exist in the flow and let God do the work.
