I'm not here to convince you that people are good, because you already know that. My intention is to turn your attention to the things that create a contradiction with that fact. Meaning that while I believe that people are good, my thoughts and actions still carry doubt when it comes to everyday life.
Many people struggle to let go of things they suffer from in their lives. When emotions overwhelm us, we get entangled in them, unable to get passed what is bothering us. We tend to believe that something needs to happen, or we need to do something, to change something in ourselves or others to escape what we feel. If you struggle in your mind unable to let go of what is bothering you, this is for you.
My life, my job, my parents, my spouse, my personality, my thoughts, my body. Are these "things" really yours? You might believe that they are since they are close to you, noticed by you. However, they are all temporary, some just passing you by and some are perishable.
Sometimes when we are lied to, we call it deception, disrespect, other times we call it a betrayal. Either way, you look at it, we feel hurt, and the reason we get hurt is that we depend on other people's opinions about us. And when we find out that our source of approval was dishonest we begin to question our own worthiness
