If you observe this moment, and this moment only, you will find out that you are already physically safe. Each moment that you are able to take a breath is a moment you are safe to exist in. However, not at every moment, we feel emotionally safe. Our emotional safety is compromised by what we think about ourselves and what others think about us.
What is the closest thing that you have? What is the one thing that is important to you the most? Do you depend on it? Or perhaps can't be without it? Is it more than one thing? Take a moment to think about the things that are closest to you that you can't be without. Now ask yourself - Do I believe that what I have will always exist there for me or am I worried about what I have disappearing from my life?
